I have been in an art rut lately. My motivation has slowly been dying over the past year or so and I find myself not enjoying it as much as I used to. Tonight I sat down and decided to play with some India ink and a big brush, which is a bit out of my comfort zone. I typically prefer small and controlled lines, and this was the opposite of that. I think allowing myself to just be messy and spontaneous helped me relax a bit and realize that not everything has to be perfect or look nice all the time. This definitely isn't my usual style, but I feel like it captures my frustrated attitude towards art at the moment, which I kind of like for some reason.
Just posted a really exciting New free Procreate Brush pack to my blog, made in collaboration with @sauldraws whose awesome art is featured here in this pic. It's a set of splashy, flicky, splattery, textural brushes, plus there is a custom colour pallet from @sauldraws to download and have fun with.
