Angry, Upset or just plain confused!!! Three different, distinct emotions, generally used interchangeably culminating in anger.
Almost always to disastrous results.
I am upset about something that happened and that gets misplaced to anger. The same happens when I am confused or very confused.
That happens to you as well, doesn’t it.
Situations we face in business on an almost regular basis, more so when you are an entrepreneur; even more so a bootstrapped one.
Working in an ambiguous reality on a series of assumptions and hypotheses; And a fight brews within, daily, when the assumptions are proved wrong, by a colleague, client, competitor or the market in general.
Confusion in decision making, Upset at a lost deal > how easily these two emotions get transformed into Anger, at work and beyond.
Just think about it…. The difference between being upset and being angry was taught to me by my mentor. The necessary split and identification between confusion and anger, I learnt from what I saw. “Do not confuse Confusion for Anger”
