P. 1 "Issues" - Julia Michaels •
Messing around with this song and fell in love. As some of you know, I would love to write for other artists. Julia is a song writer for many artists and I'm down with her style. If you like this cover tag her! @juliamichaels
She wrote this song for another artist but felt like it was meant for HER to sing. She had a connection to the song and the emotions it brought on. I understand it. That feeling of complete vulnerability. Showing others emotions only you can grasp completely. •
As an artist, it gets tough. You second guess yourself and often wonder if there is anything else in the world you could see yourself doing other than this. And then you realize it's time to grind again. Because no, there isn't. And it's a roller coaster. There are ups. There are downs. Lots of downs. And then those really exciting life changing ups. But with a mix of persistence, drive, passion, energy, work ethic, luck and timing you can do it. You will do it. So just... "DO IT!" [*Shia Labeouf voice] •
I know it's dark out there, feeling lonely at times
But what about the street lights that showed you way, you get them standing with you somewhere and somewhere you are all alone.
But still you couldn't just, not thank them for their existence.
You always have a choice to curse or appreciate, there might be some lights that were just there to make you move towards the dark, lightlessness, isolation, seclusion, bereavement, dying but you always have a choice don't you? Of not letting yourself Bewitched, but it's humane, it's all inbuilt (if that's what a basic excuse sounds like). How about not thanking the good lights because wait what did you just do was generalise.
Why we ignore them too? Why not appreciate them for being there at the right time.
Generalisation is the essence of humanity, you can always get away by saying "All are same"
And then one day you realise that they were not and surprise, you had lost them.
