For the first time ever, we are featuring Usolosopher! LINK IN BIO. Molimau Andrew Fatu aka Usolosopher is a Samoan-American poet from Long Beach. He came up with the name Usolosopher with Uso meaning brother in the Samoan language and being a philosophy major, so he put it together to make his poetic name. He started writing poetry in middle school using it to flirt with girls putting candy in notes to pass around in class. Poetry became his friend growing up as he was a California nomad unable to make friends. He has appeared on the last KPFK Safe Harbor poetry showcase before the show was off the air. He is also a part of the poetry club at Dominguez Hills called FLOW which is For the Love of Writing. With FLOW, he competed in his first ever poetry slam against other universities helping FLOW get into the finals, only to fall to USC by a slim margin. He said this experience has helped him with enhancing his poetry. He was also on Island Block Radio's The BBQ Show hosted by Joe Sav and Q on Dash Radio. He has his debut book; "The Diary of A Mad Uso" at Made in Long Beach and online at Amazon and Createspace. The Usolosopher has a huge heart and is supportive of every poet out there because he is also a fan and a student of poetry always working on improving his craft. He is working on his upcoming poetry book; "Usolosophy: Poetic Soulpieces" coming out this November. #API#Samoan#PacificIslander#APAHM#losangeles#HistoricFilipinotown#openmic#slampoetry#Poetry#napomo#SpokenWord
