Don't you just hate it when things that are out of your control ruin your plans?! I am the kind of person that likes to get to the airport waayyy before my flight. Yesterday I left 5 hours before my flight to Australia, but a few little problems happened and then I got stuck on a delayed train for over an hour (this is pretty crazy because the Japanese train system is super duper precise and on time) and ended up missing my flight!! After a minor meltdown, I was able to get on the next flight that is 24 hours later. As I was on the (also delayed) train to go back home, I found this verse. ~ Romans 5: 3-4 "not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." ~ I realized that though it is frustrating and upsetting (and yeah I'm out a couple hundred bucks), this delay is not all bad. I have so much to be thankful for, and at least now I know to factor in possible train delays next time!
