Prepping my version of "daal, bhaal, bhorta" (Bengali style mashed potatoes and rice with lentils and a chili-tomato chutney) -- a small plate, to give my supper club guests a taste of simple, everyday comfort foods in a Bangladeshi home. I've been having so much fun introducing guests at my events to the cuisine and culture that I grew up with. Always a joy! .
