See... I did this thing... I went and became a #volunteer 😶 and now I'm all #nervous ! HA! Ever been there? I'm the verge of "Um what just happened? and Did that come out of my mouth?" The thing is... is... I prayed a quick prayer and THEN it happened... I volunteered to help lead worship for an upcoming REC 😳. REC is Residents Encounter Christ... a form of the Emmaus Walk for prison inmates. Here's the thing... IVE NEVER LEAD OR EVEN PARTICIPATED IN LEADING WORSHIP. Yup... so... I'm a little nervous. I LIKE to sing. I just don't know that I'm any good at it. HA! I have no doubt it will be a joyful noise to the Lord... to the REC participants is a whole other story ☺️. Seriously though, today's devo is about Mary and Martha and how Martha gets a bad rap sometimes. The important thing is how the Scripture first opens up... "Martha opened her home to Him." THAT is why I volunteered to sing. I'm willing to serve (even through my shaky singing) if it means souls are won for Jesus. Are you a Mary? Or are you a Martha? I think we women tend to be both at different times in our lives. Remember to go easy on yourself when you ride the Martha waves, sistah... she was the one who first opened her home (her heart) to the Lord 💜.
