Becoming stronger is not something that will ever happen overnight, theoretically anyway.
If you are struggling with your squat and looking to increase it, use these tips over the next several weeks and you will notice a difference in your squat.
1. Have a comfortable Movement pattern for YOURSELF. This may take longer for others to adopt, but if you can develop a comfortable squat movement pattern, you are already 4 steps ahead of most.
2. Have proper set-up, if you are consistently unracking, racking, or taking wayyyyy too long to set up your set(s) for squats, your gains are not as much as they could be. Find a proper set up for rack height, safety bar height, and don't take so dang long to go into your set (s)! 3. In the first to admit, I used to not follow this rule, at all. HAVE SPOTTERS! Gaining strength and achieving personal records will come MUCH faster if you have a coach, gym buddy, or a team behind you.
4. Work your mechanics from the floor up. Get proper foot positioning, figure out your knee tracking, feel your hips go back, keep tight, and keep your eyes up. This movement is a complex movement so it is natural. However, you must realize that every little step executed will make a world of difference.
5. Have fun with it. Don't be so hard on yourself if you don't achieve a lift or number. Take it day by day and come back stronger the next time. #NeverBeenStronger
