Tonight my beautiful friend who is overseas @leighchantelle and I Facetimed and it was so good to connect 💗so I had our favourite XO noodles for dinner in honour of our great memories at Easy House. These are for you love xx 🙌🏻😁
Dinner: Coriander Dumplings 🌱💚😎 It's been a long time since I've had my fav food at Easy House. Haven't been here since December last year, and yet the beautiful owners remembered me and exactly what I used to order. They even reminded me where I sat (and who I was with) last time I was here! I'm so happy to be back! Thanks for a beautiful dinner and for making me feel so at home ☺️🙏🏻
If you don't know, Jeff Bezos is the founder of Amazon. His story is incredible and I would highly suggest reading about him.
This is his philosophy with the company, and I find it very encouraging.
I set a lot of goals with Mordi Photography, and I've got tons of vision with projects that I plan. But it can be discouraging and frustrating if I am rigid with the way I obtain those goals. Flexibility is essential.
For example, just this Monday, when I had my styled shoot, rain was predicted for that morning. I couldn't cancel, since I already had a fresh floral crown. So I just planned to do the shoot on the covered porch at our location.
But then, when we came out of the models house, before our 30 minute drive to the spot, the sun was rising and the light was perfect right then! And luckily, the rain had stopped. I knew if we continued with our current plan, we would lose the great light, which was central to my vision.
We made a split second decision to shoot the session right there, next to the models house!! Even though the location was totally different, the shoot turned out exactly how I had envisioned it!! Sometimes I want things to go exactly as I planned - I think many of us do. But when we're thrown curveballs, it's more important to be flexible with the details, than risk losing our vision.
