I really wanted to write a blog post to support @takeitfrommummy 'a new link up @mamamusthave but I decided to brace going self hosted and now have no idea what I'm doing. Eek! It'll be revision time tonight I think!
I'm fairly low maintenance when it comes to my skin but have taught myself to get in the habit of taking my make up off at the end of the day and moisturising.
I'm currently using @aldiuk Lacura body oil to remove my make up and moisturise at night. Sounds weird but the ingredients are all natural and about 1/10 of the price of Clinique etc. It also seems to be a never ending bottle as it gets used on my face and body and still isn't finished yet! It's really helped my uneven skin tone and has actually reduced my irritating, hormonal spots I get around my chin too. Which leads me on to the blemish serum from @asda (big spender hey?). It contains salicylic acid and tea tree which are both well known for reducing redness and spots.
In the morning I splash my face with water and use the @aldiuk Lacura day moisturiser which I'm testing out at the moment. It is SPF 15 which is the lowest I'd go being ginger and freckly and is quite thick but absorbs well making it a good base for slapping my make up on hurriedly in the morning!
My treat, once every couple of weeks is a deep treatment on my hair and a face mask using the Detox Face Mask by @dirty.works it's lovely and thick and my face definitely feels fully cleansed once it's off.
No eye cream I'm afraid Nikki but I'm keeping an eye out for a good one too!
We're trying to resurrect the once traditional Great Aycliffe Show.
We think this is a fantastic idea!
The show used to be an annual event attended by thousands of people - but due to budget cuts had to be scrapped three years.
So if you want to see a New Great Aycliffe Show, please like the Facebook page or visit aycliffetoday.co.uk for more information. #newtonaycliffe#greataycliffeshow#budget#idea#entertainment#thissummer#2017
The cool thing about buying produce without packaging is that it looks way tastier, don't you think?
Initially I was quite worried about the cost of shopping zero waste. I used to get the majority of my food from Aldi and now I don't even bother - almost all their food comes wrapped in plastic. The only thing you can buy at Aldi is canned stuff really.
So has my food shopping bill gone up? Not really.
Although the price of fresh produce and organic stuff from the #unverpackt store is higher I'd estimate that I spend about the same amount as before. I've tracked my spending this month and have spent 152,55€ total on food and restaurants. I'm not home on weekends and don't usually have food expenses at that time. Still, not bad huh?
Kellogs have coupons printed on their boxes this month for merlin parks.Adults go free with a full paying child or adult.Under 3s normally go free.If you purchase online you can normally save between 20% -60% on the walk up price. Combine this with this coupon for a big saving. #saving#couponing#ukcouponing#budget#bargin#moneysaving
