Happy Shelfie Sunday!
Today I decided to share with you all what my updated bookshelves look like. I could probably overstuff one bookshelf but what's the fun of that?!? My bottom shelves look super bare so I might buy more decor or books...I dunno 🤷🏻♀️
And yes...if you are very keenly observant, I do hide snacks on my shelves. ☺️
“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.“
— William Styron
Question: What is the best duology that you ever read?
I loved Six of Crows Duology and Anna Duology. I seriously fall in love with this two duologies collection I have! But I'm looking for more, any recommendation? 😂
I'm getting slow at reading and please bear with me since this month I have been so busy not only at the office but also at home! Sigh. It slows me down to read ACOMAF and I seriously hate it! 💔

Paznicii mergeau de-a lungul trenului, închizând toate ușile.
Game of Thrones is back this summer! 🔥 I'm excited, but not in a super-overjoyed-can-hardly-wait-kind of way. It's like all the deaths has made me not care anymore about anyone, you know? Because anyone can die, I don't want to root for anyone either. But I do like Brienne, Cersei and Sansa 🗡👑
I finished The Stand last night. At that moment I felt like I had so much to say about it and nothing at all at the same time. Now, I had the chance to sleep on it. Here's my #bookreview
It's about apocalypse, the end of the world as we knew it. Some kind of accident (the kind that everyone said it would never happen) releases a powerful virus named "Captain Trips", it starts like a simple flu and everything goes to hell very quickly. Almost the entire human population is gone now (up to 99%). That was so close, but it's not like you now get to find someone and go somewhere peacefully and start the world again. The ultimate battle is yet to come, the battle of GOD vs THE DEVIL. We have a 108 yrs old black woman at the head of the good ones fighting against a dark presence. Is it a man? Is it the devil himself? We'll found out soon enough.
My favorite character by far is Stu Redman, from the beginning I felt like we just clicked and well, I bet all my money on him and I won. 🎊
Reading through the last four chapters I was terrified but also suspicious, because it seemed like we had a happy ending cooking slowly in the oven (but at the same time I was like Ummm on an Apocalyptic book? I don't think so". But at the end, we got a sort of happy ending, the type that lefts you with a bittersweet taste in your mouth, because the prize of winning against evil was, maybe, too high.
There was also that chapter about the adventures of Tom Cullen & Stu Redman going back to Boulder that was so beautiful and unbelievable to me, just like drinking water when you are thirsty. Tears came out very often with this one.
What an amazing book.
Of course it's a 5 of 5 stars to me 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
PS: I'm kinda MIA on #bookstagram lately but there's a lot going on here. 😘
