A (female!) reporter tried to ask Blake Lively about her “power outfit” at Variety’s Power of Women event last night- and homegirl shut that shit right down.
“Come on...what about building women up? Outfits? Would you ask a man that? You wouldn’t ask a man what a power outfit was. I’m sorry.
But see...this is the moment where we become more aware and we change...so you can ask another question.”
She was then asked a less sexist and more acceptable Q about how she's raising her daughters to be strong women. Her answer was awesome.
"Just teaching them simple things like breaking old habits. Where they're telling someone what to do and instead of saying, 'oh she's so bossy,' say, 'wow she's a great leader.' There's a great Sheryl Sandberg quote. She said 'I want little girls who are told they're bossy to instead be said they have great leadership skills.' Just be more conscious of breaking habits that are diminishing."
THIS WOMAN IS AMAZING if you didn't already know. she is standing up for what is right & putting a stop to something that is disturbing & completely wrong. i'm proud to stand by Blake🖤💪🏻❤️💪🏼💛💪🏽💚💪🏾💙💪🏿💜
@target went shopping for Easter the Friday before Easter...bought the kids each a movie for Easter..plus rogue one for my husband. ....i thought this would be nice to watch sometime and bought it for myself. "An American Society of Plastic Surgeons report found Americans spent more than $16 billion on cosmetic plastic surgeries and minimally invasive procedures in 2016, the most the U.S. has ever spent on such operations. It's evidence that plastic surgery, once reserved for the rich and famous, is now more mainstream, safer and accessible."
