Bid farewell to Lake Placid, my happy place, with a hard-earned finisher's medal and hat, and more happy memories than I can count. I experienced the most amazing race to date with great friends and an incredibly supportive boyfriend. I am so grateful for their support, and that of the army of volunteers who helped me and thousands others achieve the dream of being an Ironman. #bestdayofmylife#ihaveamazingfriends#dreambig#ironman#IMLP2017#365of2017
So this post is dedicated to the best day of my life (aka today). So today I went to see my favorite human @brendonurie in the world in the musical Kinky Boots. He and the whole cast were incredible!!!! There are many fun and catchy musical numbers that were great and Brendon's solos were beautiful, I mean this mans voice sounds how velvet feels tbh. Like I never thought I would be able to come to New York and see a Broadway play, but much less SEE and MEET my idol here too. Anyway after the play ended I lined up to do the stage door signing thing and I was in the middles of the huge crowd so I didn't think I would be able to get my playbill signed. (I also brought a flower for him bc I love him). Thankfully the girl in front of me was kind enough to pass my playbill and flower up to him and somehow after he had signed my playbill he dropped it and apologized but he couldn't pick it up bc he had to move on. (I did end up getting my playbill back bc a girl a the barricade was nice and picked it up for me). Brendon did see my flower but could reach it and he said it was very sweet and asked who it was from and I screamed me and then he gave me the biggest smile ever and at that point I died. Then continuing my journey to try and get the flower to him I went around the crowd to the window of his car to try and hand it to him but he had to leave but before he left he saw the flower again and smiled and made a little heart with hands then waved goodbye to me. I died. I am dead. This is my ghost typing this now. I sobbed uncontrollably for 35 minutes afterwards and came to the conclusion that this has been the best day of my life.
P.S.: the flower I talk about is pictured in the first pic and u can see when he dropped my playbill in the third.
