This weekend I got to go backpacking with my little brother, @j_leav before he starts up med school again. We don't get to spend a lot of time together so a few years ago we started a tradition to do a "man trip" at least once a year. The first year we happened to go when the first snow of the year dropped 12 inches where we camped, the second year, a storm rolled through and brought snow and a lot of rain, this year we missed the torrential downpour and hailstorm by an hour or so and hike 13 miles in the watery, muddy slop. Our reward was a pretty radical camping spot and some well-earned solitude. It was great spending time with him before he slaves away and works towards further knowledge an experience that will allow him to help more people with his talents. My feet hurt.
Positively present. I'm loving this one so far. I'm pretty sure we all need reminders to focus on keeping our mind right. Right!? So many negative Nellies wanna bring us down buuuttt we gotta stand a little taller and keep our eyes on the prize. 💛 Fill your life with inspo, friends. It's good for the soul! Mahalo @positivelypresent for the book. You're a gem. 💎 #SundayFunday#WordsOfInspiration
Looking for a spot to camp in the rain on a 4WD road may or may not involve a game of Jeep chicken. 🤘🏼🐓 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ P.S. I won! Since I was technically going "uphill.)
For those of you that don't know me in person, I felt I should introduce myself. I'm the guy who runs this page and love sharing this lake with others. I offer one of a kind cruises, tours and incredible photography services all around this lake. Feel free to contact me anytime.
One day I want to vividly remember what a gift it is to feel the earth compress beneath my boots and to have sunshine find my face like a magnet. Days like this remind me how overwhelmingly expansive the earth is, but how every step feels like a welcome mat when you're moving in the right direction.
